Hello all my name is Dave Tanner,
I have been involved with Hospital Radio Maidstone for a while now.
It all came about when I heard a friend of mine on Hospital Radio Tunbridge Wells and I thought to myself I would love to give this a go.
I have been a mobile DJ, Singer and all round entertainer for many years and have done most things like wedding MC, hosted karaoke evenings and master of ceremony for lots of outside events but I have always fancied having a go at Radio Presenting but didn't know how to go about it.
After hearing my friend I researched local hospital radio and found Maidstone to be the one most local to me .
I looked up HRM on the Internet and found a number so I called and left a voicemail.
I forgot about the call due to a busy work schedule.
But then ... !
I answered my phone a few days later to a Mr Steve Catchpole from HRM who invited me into the studio for a chat.
I began my training the next week I would like to say a big thanks to Steve Catchpole and Pete Ketcher for giving up their time to show me the ropes and here we are! I am now a full time member of the HRM team, loving every minute of it.
I am a big fan of all types of music and I do believe that music is the best medicine .
So I hope you enjoy my shows and the music I have for you, don't be shy! call in or email your favourite music and I will do my best to get them played and a little message to you on air .
