It’s a sad fact that there is less money in everyone’s pockets but it is also a fact that your hospital radio station needs money to survive. We are a registered charity (number 253068) and receive no Government, NHS or Local Authority funding. Not only do we have to keep up to date with our music but there is the equipment to play it on, the headsets, licences, insurance…
So where does the money come from? And can you help?
Our major sources of income come from our own fund raising activities. In addition each of our volunteer members pays an annual subscription and we ensure that we can claim as much Gift Aid as possible from HM Revenue and Customs (roll on 2013 when we can claim more Gift Aid!).
The answer to the second question is that anybody can assist us to raise much needed funds and however small the contribution, it helps enormously.
HRM has two main fundraising sources, both of which are available to hire at competitive rates.
Mobile Disco

We've got a vast catalogue of music to cater for any occasion - birthdays, parties and weddings etc.

Outside Broadcasting Events Unit
If you got an event planned, why not choose Hospital Radio Maidstone to help with your public address needs.
We can provide an excellent service, using the best equipment and experienced presenters.

Business Sponsorship
If you run a business (or can persuade your employer), how about becoming a sponsor?
For a minimum donation of £100 (or equivalent in assistance, or goods and services), we will acknowledge the business on air 24 hours a day as a sponsor. Alternatively, we can put your logo on our brand new fund raising trailer.
Businesses can also advertise in Smile Magazine, the free booklet available to patients and staff across the Hospital.
